Description

This second-floor apartment is accessible via wooden stairs and possesses a total area of 98 m2. Facing south and located a few meters from the Tagus River this two bedroom apartment is suitable for four people with a large sunny terrace overlooking the Fado Museum and Alfama.

Dining/Living room (20m2) with three balconies with panoramic views over the Jardim do Tabaco street and the Fado Museum. There are an antique wood dining table and matching chairs, a double sofa-bed crowned by a big mirror, cable TV and a Radio and iPod Station. This room was once one of the towers of the "Fernandina" Wall, a fact revealed by the depth of its walls (more than one meter). From one of the balconies, you can see the terrace below.

Bedroom (10m2) with one double bed and a wooden wardrobe.

Bedroom (9m2) with a standard double bed, a big mirror, and a dresser.

Bathroom (5m2) with two large windows, hand-painted tiles with 15th-century Portuguese "Caravelas Latinas" used during the Age of Discovery and a marvelous antique iron tub. Full supply of towels, soap, and other necessities as well as a hairdryer.

Kitchen (7m2) with everything necessary to prepare and enjoy a meal: stove and oven, kettle, plates, cups, knives and forks, pots, pans, kitchen utensils, a fridge, an electric water heater, a microwave, and a toaster. From the kitchen, you can access the terrace descending the stairs where you can find a small fountain in the wall. It has also a washing machine.

Terrace (23m2): truly unique space decorated with traditional hand-forged iron railings and several stone seats sculpted into the walls. These seats are called "namoradeiras" in Portuguese which means "made for dating" because they are made in pairs of two, one in front of the other. There is a marble table with four wooden chairs where you can enjoy a meal or simply enjoy the sun and the views. But if you prefer a shady place you can lay down on the forged iron bed, typical from Alentejo, and read a book or plan the trips for the next day.

Walk-in closet (4m2): to put baggage and clothes and with extra blankets and pillows.

Casa do Terraço is the perfect getaway to experience a genuine slice of Lisbon paradise! It is a second floor flat which is accessible via wooden stairs and possesses a total area of 98 m2 including the terrace. Facing south and located a few meters from the Tagus River this two bedroom apartment is suitable for four people with a large sunny terrace overlooking the Fado Museum and Alfama.

This is a central apartment in the heart of Lisbon in the scenic and picturesque Alfama district. A couple of minutes from the waterfront this charming apartment has enchanting Portuguese traditional details such as hardwood and terracotta tiled floors, open stone features and hand painted tiles with historical themes. The 23m2 sun-filled terrace is the perfect relaxing spot to end each day reading a book, savoring a glass of Portuguese wine or just enjoying the views.

The apartment is located in the center of Lisbon in the historical Alfama neighborhood, a few meters from the Tagus River, on the second and third floors of an ancient building, where the traditional architecture is revealed by the stone staircases and arcade on the entrance hall. Inside you'll find traditional hand-painted tiles, well-maintained old furniture, joyful colors and a full-hand of antique objects and memories creating an unforgettable atmosphere. Great apartment right in the old town

This is a great apartment with two decent sized bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen and a brilliant, sunny terrace. The location is perfect and is close to attractions and surrounded by bars, cafes and restaurants. Bruno was also a great host, meeting us when we arrived late in the evening, giving us loads of tips and information and looking after our luggage on the last day.

Dear Melanie, thank you for your review! Hope to see you in Lisbon again Best Regards, Bruno Lisbon Lullaby
