This first photograph was taken from our Alfama River apartments and looking out of the main window towards the right (west). Here we are overlooking the "Estado Maior do Exército" building (Headquarters of the Military Staff).

The second photograph was taken looking out of the main window towards the left (east). Here you can see the Santa Apolonia Metro Station, which is just 3 minutes walk from the apartments, and just beyond that across the road, an area of restaurants such as Bica do Sapato on the waterfront.
