The Lisbon Castle Apartment II is located just above it's neighbour, the Lisbon Castle Apartment I, on the first floor of a recently renovated traditional building located inside the outer castle walls in the centre of Lisbon.

It is a 1-bedroom rental property, but a large double sofa-bed allows up to 4 guests to stay here comfortably. Accessible up one flight of steps, the main doors opens directly on to the comfortable living and dining space, where we find a flatscreen cable TV, wi-fi Internet and the large sofa-bed, together with a dining table and chairs for 4 people.

A large sliding door at one end gives access to the double bedroom, pleasingly furnished with a double bed and bedside tables with reading lamps. Next to the bedroom, we can find the fully-equipped kitchen with all you need for a pleasant self-catering stay. This includes all cutlery and crockery, a washer-dryer, toaster, kettle, microwave, stove and much more.

The bathroom has a stand-up shower unit wash-basin, mirror, towels and the correct temperature for the entire apartment is maintained with a wall-mounted air-conditioning unit in the living room.

Location and Surroundings

This apartment is located inside the outer castle walls right next to the São Jorge Castle itself, in the historic centre of Lisbon.

This neighbourhood, called Castelo, is one of the oldest in Lisbon, and is made up of winding, narrow, cobbled streets situated directly round the inner castle walls, and has truly privileged views over the Alfama district and towards the river.

There are plenty of restaurants and cafés here, and there is a mini-market right next to the house. It is also a short walk to the other major tourist areas of Lisbon, such as Alfama, Baixa, Chiado, Graça, etc.

The number 737 bus arrives here directly from the central Praça da Figuiera, and it is a short walk to catch the famous number 28 tram and other transport.
