The Lisbon Castle Apartment I is a modern and fully-equipped 1-bedroom property located right inside the St. Jorge Castle walls in one of Lisbon's most traditional and historic areas, the Castelo neighbourhood.

This is a ground-floor apartment, and is accessed directly from the cobbled street outside, through the doorway and in to the spacious living room, which includes a dining table and 4 chairs, cable TV and wi-fi Internet, and a comfortable double sofa-bed which can be unfolded to provide sleeping space for 2 extra guests.

At the far side of the living room, a double door opens up to provide access to the bedroom, where we can see a large double bed with bedside tables and reading lamps. Here we can also find the air-conditioning unit, from which the cool air also reaches the living room when necessary, if the bedroom door is left open.

To the right of the bedroom we can find the fully-equipped and modern kitchen, with all the necessary cutlery and crockery for your self-catering holiday. There is a washer-dryer, microwave, coffee-maker, fridge, toaster and kettle.

The bathroom is clean and modern, with a stand-up shower unit.

Location and Surroundings

This apartment is located inside the outer castle walls right next to the São Jorge Castle itself, in the historic centre of Lisbon.

This neighbourhood, called Castelo, is one of the oldest in Lisbon, and is made up of winding, narrow, cobbled streets situated directly round the inner castle walls, and has truly privileged views over the Alfama district and towards the river.

There are plenty of restaurants and cafés here, and there is a mini-market right next to the house. It is also a short walk to the other major tourist areas of Lisbon, such as Alfama, Baixa, Chiado, Graça, etc.

The number 737 bus arrives here directly from the central Praça da Figuiera, and it is a short walk to catch the famous number 28 tram and other transport.
