The apartment is located on the third floor of a building (no elevator) whose architecture is typical of this downtown Baixa area, wich is the true heart of Lisbon, right in the city centre. The Rua dos Correeiros street is parallel to the famous Rua Augusta, which runs right down the centre of this district and is close to the Chiado shopping district and all major attractions.

The internal decor is really beautiful, combining as it does antique elements with use of wooden beams and stone walls together with more modern furniture and fittings, to provide a comfortable, cosy, spacious apartment which is truly pleasing to the eye. It is decorated with great taste and simplicity, which will make you feel like you are at home, and in a really quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

Aside from being in the ideal location, this property is perfect for alarge family or group of friends, since it contains 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The three bedrooms have double beds, bedside tables and dressing area, so you will enjoy all the comforts after a day strolling around the city and discovering its hidden wonders.

The living area consists of dining room and kitchen, separated from the lounge by a breakfast bar with stools for 6 people. The living room has a modern sofa-bed, allowing a 7th guests to sleep here, a table and a wall-mounted TV with cable channels. The kitchen is furnished in a modern style and has all the necessary cooking utensils and modern appliances such as electric cooker, fridge, toaster, coffee machine and much more.

The apartment is equipped with WIFI wireless internet and central heating with wall-mounted radiaors which my be individually switched on and off.

The 2 bathrooms are clean and modern and both include spacious stand-up shower cubicles. In fact, the shower cubicle in the larger bathroom is a cuious novelty since it is a double unit, allowing 2 people to shower at the same time!

Location and Surroundings

The Baixa is the true center of Lisbon, close to the river and the large cnral squares of the city such as the Praça do Comercio square or Rossio. Just 5 minutes walk from here is the design district of Chiado, with its designer shops and trendy cafés. Just 10 or 15 minutes walk further on, the famous nightlife of the Bairro Alto awaits, with hundreds of restaurants, bar, clubs and cafés.

Major sights and attractions such as the Cathedral, Castle, the Old Town Alfama district, the famous number 28 yellow cable-car, and many museums and antique churches are all within easy walking distance, and you'll certainly never be at a loss for somewhere to have lunch or dinner - there must be hundreds of small restaurants just in the surrounding streets!
