The 2-bedroom Augusta Retro apartment is located on the second floor (no lift) of a building on Lisbon's most popular and central street: the picturesque and pedestrian Rua Augusta Street. The apartment has a large double bed in the main bedroom, 2 singles in the second bedroom, and a comfortable double sofa-bed in the livingroom, allowing up to 6 guests to stay in this central location in the heart of Lisbon.

The decor in this property is a subtle combination of retro pieces with contemporary items, with an array of '70s style lamps, furniture and wood panelling, while modernism reigns in the kitchen, with a crystal chandelier adding some sparkle.

The living room is bright and well-lit, and has a double sofa-bed, 2 armchairs and some floor-lamps. There is a computer connected to a high-speed Internet connection, which also offers wi-fi should you wish to bring your own laptop, tablet or smartphone. The cable Tv offers many international channels and there is a DVD player too.

The main bedroom has 1 large double bed, bedside table, lamp, armchair, and closet space. The second bedroom has 2 single beds, bedside table, lamp and closet space.

Apart from providing a complete set of kitchenware, the kitchen is also fully equipped with: Ceramic-plate cooker and oven, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, kettle, nespresso machine, coffee maker, blender, juicer, dishwasher, toaster. The associated dining area has a table with seating for 6.

The bathroom has a shower, washbasin, WC.

Location and Surroundings

This apartment offers you the perfect downtown location right in the heart of the Lisbon city centre. From here you can easily reach all of the major sights and monuments.

It is situated on Rua Augusta, one of the most famous pedestrian streets of the city which leads from the majestic arch of the expansive Praça do Comércio square to the central Rossio square with its convenient train and metro stations.

This is the Baixa district of Lisbon, the downtown, with dozens of shops and restaurants on every street. The trendy Chiado district with designer shops and cool restaurants is a short walk from the apartment, as is the famous nightlife of the Bairro Alto.

Nearby culture hotspots include the Chiado Museum, the MUDE Museum and the Pombaline Galleries, as well as the charming ruins of the Carmo Convent, or the wrought iron structure of the Elevador de Santa Justa lift, which, from its loft heights, offers incredible views of the city and tyhe River Tagus.

This area has excellent transport facilities, with the metro stations of Baixa-Chiado, Rossio and Terreiro do Paço all within easy walking distance.
